Xeragel™ is a 100% silicone ointment, designed for for convenient,
regular application over small scars. Perfect for discreet application
on scar treatment sites where silicone gel sheeting would be
inconvenient, impractical, or unsitely.
This is an ointment version of the same material used in Epi-Derm gel sheeting. It is ideal for use on facial scars and can be safely worn under cosmetics. It is also recommended for hard to cover areas such as the knees, hips, elbows etc.
Epiderm silicone get sheeting, Xeragel or Prosil must be worn a minimum of 12 hours per dayfor 8-12 weeks. Many patients report continued improvement to the scar beyond the 12 week period. When the sar stops responding for a continued period of 7-10 days, you have probably reached the point of maximum results and should discontinue using the product. You may safely wear the products beyond the 12 week period as long as you follow the instructions.
