You can read Alex Crisano’s life story from the tattoos that cover his 6’6”/230-pound frame — well, almost.

“How many tattoos do I have?” asked Alex, a Piscean (February). “I have lost count!”

On one side of his neck is a tattoo of the Philippine flag intertwined with the Italian flag (“I’m half-Filipino and half-Italian, you know,” said Alex), similar to that of wrestler Dave Batista a.k.a. The Animal who is also half-Italian and half-Filipino. On Alex’s right thigh is a tattoo of FPJ (“My idol”) and covering almost his whole back is the face of Christ. On his chest is a rosary, on his arm a Chinese character that means good luck, his son’s name Alex Louis Jr. and above his wrist the number 10305 which is the zip code of Staten Island in New York where he grew up. “I have a friend, his name was Anthony, who died of complications from diabetes. He told me, ‘When I die, just have 10305 tattooed on your wrist’. He was only 29.”    Read more

CONTOURS UNMASKS NEW FACE

   Socialite-philanthropist Tessa Prieto-Valdes removed her masks, literally, as she was launched as the new face of Contours Advanced Face and Body Sculpting Institute, the first and only cosmetic surgery center in the Philippines certified to do VASER High Definition Liposculpture.

                Thirty entertainment  and lifestyle editors from major broadsheets and magazines witnessed the “unmasking” of Tessa, who went through Contours’ Revalift procedure, a non-surgical facelift technology that uses the anti-lax machine in effectively stimulating collagen formation and delaying the signs of aging.

Sports anchor and personality Patricia Bermudez-Hizon hosted the masquerade attended by the country’s socialites.  Guests, including artists Jhon, Mike Swift and DJ Archie, Dra Leticia Santos, Socialites Jo Ongciaco and Dr. Koko Roura had a great time with the feast of food prepared by Contours, as well as the presentations and fun games. Tessa talked about graceful aging and her experience with Revalift. She revealed that she felt immediate lifting and tightening of the skin after the procedure. Dr. Claudine Roura, owner of Contours and pioneer of the VASER® Lipo System in the Philippines, gamely answered questions from the press people.

The procedure, developed by a Japanese doctor, has its machine manufactured in Korea, making it especially designed for Asian skin. It is a comfortable, outpatient procedure with no downtime and no risks, according to Dr. Roura. 

 

Dr. Roura said that the Revalift is for men and women in their mid-30’s to early 50’s who are starting to show signs of aging like wrinkles, deep lines, sagging, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and sagging neck. Tessa falls under this age group.

Contours Advanced Face and Body Sculpting Institute recently launched its newest procedure called Revalift for skin tightening and Silkpeel for Soft smooth skin with Endorser Miss Tessa Prieto-Valdes.  REvalift is a non-surgical modality sing Bipolar Rf and Infrared to effectively tighten skin and stimulate collagen formation resulting in tighter and younger sin.  Silkpeel is a dermal infusion system that gently exfoliates skin and delivers skin specific cosmeceuticals into the skin to counteract hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, dry dull skin and acne.

Armi ( not her real name )  a 20 year old,  beautiful, petite young lady  came to Contours  clinic apprehensive,  not knowing what to expect. The question  on her mind:  “ Have I found what I have long searched for?” For 4 years Armi was constantly on the search for the solution to become  “ whole “ again.

At 15 years old, Armi was sexually assaulted, devirginized against her will. Since that experience she has always felt  broken and incomplete. She became reclusive and  withdrawn. She consulted several Gynecologist regarding the procedure, but nobody has made her comfortable and confident  of  the  procedure  the way Contours Cosmetic Gynecologist, Dr. Sheree Emata,  has. With Dr. Sheree’s  credentials ( a certified Fellow of the Philippine Obstetrics and Gynecology Society,  and Cosmetic Gynecologist who trained in Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation in her training abroad) , Armi knew she has found the right person who can help her in the road to healing.

Armi  underwent  the surgery   at Contours Clinic on an outpatient basis. For less than an hour and under local anesthesia, Hymenoplasty was performed by Dr. Sheree Emata.  With Dr. Sheree’s  precise and  gentle hands , and using the  of “ state of the art” Ellman Radiofrequency Surgitron,  Armi  had a painless and almost bloodless surgery.  

For Dr. Sheree there is no device as precise and as safe for labial surgery when compared to the Ellman.  The Ellman Surgitron is more superior than other lasers since it has a “Cool Tip.”  The lateral thermal damage with the Ellman Surgitron is just 20-30 microns. Very very minimal . Compared to the Diamond Laser Scalpel which  has lateral thermal damage measured at 150 to 350 microns, about 10 times more than the Ellman.

Post-operation  Armi   only felt  a  tolerable stingy pain on the surgical site which was  immediately managed  by the intake of an oral  NSAID pain reliever. The very next day, no  pain was noted and Armi was up and about, doing her usual activities.

Since the procedure Armi  claims that she is a changed person. A different glow is seen on her eyes. Her smile is  a  picture of contentment.  “ People may find my testimonial corny, but after having the Hymenoplasty,  I felt I am again a  “whole and complete “ woman. People would judge me that I had the surgery to decieve  a  future husband that I am still a virgin. But, no, I did it for myself,   for my  psychological  healing. The fact that I was only repaired surgically, did not matter,  I felt  healed,  body and soul.  And for that I thank Dr. Sheree Emata and Contours Clinic.
